ENGLISH III/JOURNAL #1
This Is Response Journal #1. "When people keep telling you that you can't do a thing, you kind of like to try it."
Margaret Chase Smith
I remember when I was 15 years old and I ended up getting pregnant with my daughter. I was only in my freshman year in high school. When I told my mother that I was pregnant she was excited. She did not focus on the fact that I was only 15 and pregnant, but the fact that she would be a grandmother.
My father didn't know I was having a baby until after I was in labor. My mother passed away when I was only 2 months in my pregnancy, I felt like I was all alone.

After I had my miracle child and my father found out about it, all he kept doing was downing me and calling me bad names. He told me that my life was over and that I would make it no where in life.
But I remembered these words that my mother told me, "Just because I had a baby doesn't mean that the road has ended for me. It just begun."
